The CHANGE Latino Caucus is made up of organizations that have a large number of Latinos in their membership who are dues-paying CHANGE member congregations. The caucus is currently working to build relationships and go through leadership training within its own membership. The caucus is also working on strengthening relationships with law enforcement to help prevent gang recruitment. In 2010 and 2011 the Latino Caucus successfully launched a campaign to have the Winston-Salem Police Department recognize our membership ID card as a valid form of identification. In the coming years the caucus hopes to seek discounts for CHANGE members who have a membership ID card in local businesses and expand the number of official agencies that recognize the card.
